joel r. davis - president

Born and raised in Oconee County SC, founder and president Joel Davis’s background in construction began while still in high school. Beginning as a local agricultural contractor, Joel quickly grew his company starting with just one employee. With a reputation for quality workmanship and reliability, Joel very quickly started taking on larger projects, and the company has since branched out into commercial and industrial construction. By retaining quality employees and maintaining integrity, J. Davis Construction has now become one of the larger construction companies in the upstate. Joel has performed roles including budget and design coordination, estimating and value engineering, scheduling, cost control, business development, project management and strategic planning. This broad experience proves invaluable with each new project. His main focus is his faith and his wife of 14 years and their three children. What drives Joel is his desire to make long-term relationships with all of his clients.

Joel enjoys also serving the community through Board Seats with Local Electric Cooperative, Community Bank, Various Economic and Private College Boards along with serving his church for now 36 years.

alley linder - operations and safety manager

With previous experience working at other multimillion dollar construction firms, Alley has been fortunate to be involved in many interesting projects that have had a lasting impact within our community, some of these including industrial projects to improve processes, church additions and renovations, healthcare, sports stadiums, and institutional projects ranging from $5,000 to more than $37,000,000. Alley is currently the Operations Manager and has a great opportunity to assist and impact every project. With his wife and children being a big part of who he is, Alley also focuses on trying to have a positive impact on his coworkers and the projects that he is fortunate to be a part of.

robert smith - project manager

Driven by friends, family, and the pursuit of excellence, Robert has had over 33 years of construction management experience with projects valued up to $400 million, cumulatively totaling over $1 billion.  This experience includes a wide range of project types in the public and private sectors such as Higher Education, Manufacturing, Airports, Special purpose laboratories, Health Care, Assisted Living, Retail and Military and Governmental facilities.  His skills include project and program management, estimating and cost management, disputes resolution, and quality control. Robert is a Certified Cost Professional and President and Board member of my POA.

ben weeks - pre-construction manager

Ben has 14 years’ experience working in the upstate SC construction industry, 9 of those at J. Davis. Prior to J. Davis, Ben managed High End Residential and Multi-Family construction for one of the country’s largest builders and also served as a construction consultant in the banking industry. In his 9 years at J. Davis, Ben has served in the roles of Project Manager, Business Development Manager, Chief Estimator, and Pre Construction Manager. Now as the company’s Senior Pre Construction Manager, he manages all General Contracting projects from the first client meeting until the start of construction. Before Ben came to work for Joel, he had a client in the banking industry ask him, “if you were me, who would you hire for this difficult project?” His immediate answer was J. Davis Construction. He came to work at J. Davis for the opportunity to be a part of growing a company to be run the right way. Ben is passionate about his wife and two daughters, traveling, golf, and Clemson Football.

allen smith - project manager

Allen has played many roles within the company over the ten years he has been a part of the team. From working within the Civil Division to operating heavy equipment, he has been the Foreman, Superintendent, Estimator, and Project Manager working with Religious, Governmental, Commercial, and Industrial Projects.  His experience has allowed me to understand every facet of construction from multiple vantage points.  With family, faith, morals and ethics being very important to him, Allen is driven by the pride he takes in seeing a successful project come together, and knowing the role he played in that project’s success.  Allen thinks that the most rewarding part of his job is when he knows the owner is proud of their new facility, and their expectations have been exceeded.

bradley nolan - project manager

Bradley joined the J. Davis team because of their commitment to family, integrity, clients, and subcontractors, and hopes to exemplify the same characteristics when building relationships with Clients, Subcontractors, and Suppliers. His experience varies from Aerospace to Cold Storage to Office Buildings. Bradley has been a part of projects of all different sizes, from less than $100,000 to more than $750M. Spending 8 years with as a Project Engineer I/II, Bradley has the experience required to help run projects smoothly. Being married with a son, Bradley says that he was raised on faith, hard work, respect and family. “I have always wanted to do right by my family because I have been so blessed with so many wonderful influences in my life.  I am most driven by wanting to be a good leader for my family and to set a good example for my children.”

Jason fleck - project manager

Jason Fleck brings 14 years of experience working on large scale projects to the J. Davis team. An accomplished professional with diverse project and team supervision ranging from minor construction to major EPCM projects, he
is experienced with the initiation and planning phases of projects in regions immersed with government and environmental stipulations. He is also responsible
for monitoring and managing time sensitive execution plans with emphasis on safety and client needs for turnover completion. Beginning his career in the home
building industry, he quickly moved into the energy sector, where his projects took him all over the globe. His managed projects range from $5 million all the way to $4 billion in size, and in every extreme of the weather spectrum.

andrew maccoll - project manager

Andrew has grown in the construction business with a history of acting with integrity and professionalism. Andrew comes to the J. Davis team with over 30 years experience in the construction management, owners representative, and electrical estimating fields. Additionally, Andrew also has years of experience in the education, manufacturing, industrial, airport, public, and environmental sectors. He also holds state certified licenses in Florida, South Carolina, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. Andrew is dedicated to helping clients achieve success and build their dreams, and is dedicated to his wife and family. When asked why he joined J. Davis, Andrew said, "The culture is infectious. It's a place you want to work."

tim winchester - pre-construction

Before joining the J. Davis team in 2011, Tim worked in many different areas of Textiles from 1980-1995, including technician, project manager and sales. Entering Residential construction in 1995, he owned and operated a Custom Home Building Company from 2000-2011. During this time, he built post beam homes, traditional homes and Insulated Concrete Form-ICF structures. Tim’s passion is his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, his wife, 2-married children and 2 grandchildren, which are all the joy of his life.

Now Tim is one of the pre-construction managers at J. Davis.

teresa broome - office manager

Teresa has grown her construction experience with J. Davis Construction for the last eleven years.  She is also efficient with three separate construction software applications, and speaks the construction language. After working as a Publications Specialist for the National Council of Examiners and a special needs specialist for the school district Oconee County, Teresa joined the team because “the president of the company has integrity, there’s room to grow, and it has a family-friendly environment!”
