Construction Continues on Southern Wesleyan Jericho Project

JDavis Construction Continues Construction on Jericho Project with Southern Wesleyan University

February 6, 2019

JDavis Construction, one of the fastest growing General Contractors in the Upstate of South Carolina, announced today that work continues on the new Jericho Project in conjunction with Southern Wesleyan University, Pickens, and Anderson Counties.

A flagship project for the state that has been in development for more than four years, the 9,300 square foot facility will serve as a Special Needs and Disabilities Center.

“It is a dream come true to see our facility actually coming out of the ground,” said Mike Cannon, board member of the Anderson County Special Needs and Disabilities Board. “This is a one-of-a-kind project and program where we will have both our special-needs friends and students living in the same quarters.”

Joel Davis, President and Owner of JDavis Construction, had this to say about the new facility.

“This facility, once completed, will become a tremendous resource, not only for Southern Wesleyan University, but the residents it will serve.” He went on to say, “JDavis Construction is excited to be involved in something that has such a special meaning for so many people, and potentially has the opportunity to be implemented across the state. We are thrilled to once again be partnering with Southern Wesleyan on such an important project.”

Dr. Todd Voss, President of Southern Wesleyan University, is very excited about the current construction. “The anticipation is growing as we see this new concept in special-needs service and student mentorship come together,” Voss said. “Fall semester cannot come fast enough for us to realize this dream.”

The project will be built in three phases, with Phase 1 scheduled for completion in time for Fall Semester, 2019.
