Atlas at Inland Port Greer is an approximately 150,000 Sq. Ft. multi-tenant industrial space built to serve manufacturing and warehousing needs. It’s the kind of project that developers and industrialists yearn for in a market with additional business but limited real estate. Owners, Warren Zinn and Dean Warhaft, were especially pleased to have a project that was not only delivered on time, but under budget and with determination.

Mr. Zinn, a former photojournalist who served in Afghanistan and Iraq, is no stranger to working with people who need to understand the hurdles and surprises a project can present. “From former experience with a J. Davis project manager, I knew I could count on them to deliver,” says Zinn. “They are extraordinarily tidy and timely. He and his business partner Dean saw a need in the Greer area, particularly by the I-85 corridor near manufacturers like BMW and decided on a tilt-up concept for their clients. Getting J. Davis Construction was the natural path to executing the plan.

“The owners wanted a flexible design that could fulfill their potential clients’ needs, so we made it simple, transparent, and with a common goal from the beginning,” states Jason Fleck, Sr. Project Manager with J. Davis. Mr. Fleck began the project with his ground team consisting of Rick Whitt and Steven Anderson and worked alongside McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture with ease. The team were able to maintain every budget item, overcome scheduling conflicts and redesigns, and take care of a client that wants to return for more. “They began discussing the next project before this one was even complete,” says Jason. “We leave that kind of impression.”
