Seeing the need for custom fabrication in horse barns, the company began designing horse stalls to fit barns rather than barns to fit stalls. Fabricating stalls in the family farm shop gave work for employees on rainy days. Joel began to go to competition equine shows to market the company in SC and GA. With a small, dedicated team, he turned those ideas into action. His team’s reputation and good name grew throughout the area, and as the business evolved, he renamed it Davis Construction.
